Harvard, for Free?

I got an e-mail that sounded too good to be true.
I snoped it, but it wasn't even on Snopes yet.
I googled it, and found out it is true.
.
Harvard University is offering FREE tuition to lower income families.
.
Apparently, it occurred to them that 90% of their students come from the upper 50% of the income class.
Recognizing that kids whose parents make less than $60,000/yr can still be smart, and in an effort to even out the playing field, Harvard is offering free tuition for "lower income" students.
Specifically, a student from a family with an income of less than $40,000/yr. will not have to pay tuition.
Families that earn between $40,000 and $60,000/yr will have a reduced tuition rate.
You can read more about it >>>here<<<.
.
How awesome is that?
.
(And this is not an April Fool's joke, btw).

I have heard this before, it gives me hope, that with this and other programs like it, My kids will be able to go to good schools.

Lillian

maybe though they will just do laundry once a week at nana's or another family members while going to UVU another good school.

NO... it is totally true! Harvard is one of the best financial aid universities out there... it is amazing! You still have to get in... so tell your boys to do their homework!

I've already told my kids that they can go to school anywhere they want but if they choose somewhere other than UVU I will make fun of them. I don't think that this is having much impact though as Jim is talking tech school and Carie still is dreaming about BYU! -- Drew
