Last Thursday, my aunt Martha forgot her driver's license at home.
She was traveling down a one way street in the wrong direction and did not stop at an intersection to let pedestrians go.
A policeman was watching her, but did not give her a ticket.
Why?

One three-letter word can be placed in front of each of the following words to make four new words.
The same threel etter word must be used in each case.
_ _ _ BLED

Aunt Martha was walking, but I'm not sure what the word is.

What an entertaining blog! Thanks for coming tonight, Della! You are great!
I think Carrie's answer is any good any. I prefer the answer that Aunt Martha was packing some serious heat and the Cop forgot to wear his vest that day. Plus he knew not to mess with Martha when she was in one of her moods.
How fitting that the first questions is about Aunt MARtha. The answer to the second must be MAR.

Carrie and Mike-
I think you're both right.
Carrie's answer matched the original soultion.
Mike's answer is more entertaining though.
And Mike was right with MAR.
Norma-
Thanks for stopping by. I love comments. Come back soon.

The other solution is that Aunt Martha is the grandma featured in a previous blog.
