I Voted! Election Day Coverage

The lines were out the door when I went to the polls this morning.
I got there about 8:30, right in the middle of the before-work rush.
All of the candidates were represented, by signs, if not by guys handing out leaflets to the last minute, undecided voters.
But they couldn't stand past here.
Apparently, very few people, in my precinct at least, with last names starting with H-O were voting this morning, because I walked straight to the front of my line.
We won't have to worry about hanging chads here in VA. We vote on computers.
And I stopped to buy doughnuts from a little league baseball team on the way back to the car.
(Not for me, of course, for the kids. Yeah, that's right, the kids).
It is exciting to be a part of this election.
This election, regardless of the outcome, will be monumental in our nations history.
Whether you are voting for Barrack Obama, and a symbol of change, or John McCain and are simply going for the lesser of two evils, (like me), every vote matters.
Especially in my potential swing state of VA.
We'll see the outcome soon enough.
In the meantime, check out this video, (at least the first 2 or 3 minutes of it).
This video represents to me much of the common sense and clarity this whole year of campaigning has shown.
Enjoy.

Oh, if only I could have voted for Tarquin-fimtin-limbin-wimbin-lim-busstop-fatang-fatang-ole-biscuitbarrel....

/sigh.

So should our parties be called the silly party and the sillier party? I don't know which would be which though...
Karl waited for 45 minutes to vote this morning because he was in the k-z line. I'm going mid-morning with the hope that I won't have to wait. The funny thing is that since Utah is almost certainly going to be McCain, my main reason for voting is to vote for the bond that will give Springville a new library.

I'm with you - I'm voting for the lesser of evils. I'm not happy with any of my presidential voting options. (They're all "very very silly". LOL!) Both Obama & McCain make me worried about the next 4 years.

Prop 8 is a big deal, though. That one has me on the edge of my seat.

Saw you on SITs and thought I would come by and have a peek!

I haven't voted yet. My girls want to go with me so I have to wait until the oldest is out of school!

It will be fun to see what happens tonight!

Ha, another perk of living in a small town, even if you go during the lunch rush, there is only one more person in line with you.
A disadvantage, your state may be on computer, but I filled in the oval just like back in highschool.
